Our new 2016 art series, The Lost Boys of Sudan, is a picture book, if you will, that captures the the real life struggle of the Lost Boys of Sudan. Each painting is a unique "chapter" in the 3 year journey that the boys were forced to take, to escape genocide out of their beloved Sudan. Traveling over a thousand miles bare foot, with no clothes, no parents, no food, and no water, their epic journey is one of courage, hope, struggle, death and life. An estimated 27,000-36,000 boys between the ages of 8-12 years old, escaped their villages of birth as a last resort of survival. 12,000 boys survued the journey. Now, young men, 3,600 boys are living in the U.S., and over 200 in Sioux Falls, SD. Help us and our team of Lost Boys, bring back education to the children in South Sudan.

War has devastated Southern Sudan’s Educational System. Overall, the Literacy rate stands at 24% with only 12% for women. Child enrollment in Southern Sudan is the second lowest in the World after Afghanistan. Since the signing of the 2005 CPA, an estimated 2 million uprooted and displaced people have returned to their homeland. To help rebuild their lives, education and job training is needed.
Ajoung Library Edcuation Center will serve all 5 Primary Schools in the Ajoung Community, Twic EastCounty, Jonglei State. As a full functioning Library for both school children and adults, the building will also serve as an Educational Center equipped with a computer room, educational DVD's, a wall projector, an arts and crafts room, school supply resource center, with several bathroom facilities for future development.
