Mary's Project has partnered with Atem Juowei of the Lost Boys of Sudan, from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, for an upcoming Christmas Reunion Trip to the new and free "Republic of South Sudan" and Library Educational Center Building Project. Please View our Mission Featured on CBS:
After decades of civil war and persecution from Islamic Government forces of the North, the Christians of South Sudan have won their independence becoming the newest Country in the world on July 9, 2011! In joyful celebration, Mary's Project will join the Lost Boys Reunion in South Sudan for a long awaited trip from separated family, and to celebrate the Lord's birth.
The trip will kick off "Library Educational Center Building Project" in a South Sudan Village as well as Mary's Project MISSION HOPE SOUTH SUDAN Outreach Program in Sioux Falls, SD. “The hard and difficult things about war for those at the front were the days that went by when none could raise his eyes beyond the next foxhole or above the next rise of muddy ground.
Friends died and were taken away, and we were all too busy with the work at hand to think about them very long. A little later, during a lull in battle, we were able to assemble information at a military cemetery for services. The services were very sincere but short, for our duties called us back to the front almost immediately. There are many things about war that we want to forget. We are anxious to forget the necessary sordidness and cruelties of battle. We want to forget the mud and the muck and the mire, the painful days and the endless nights. We want to forget the sickening sensation of fear.

Dear Boys and Girls,
You are graduating from Newtown at a time when every signal of history points to days of trial ahead for our beloved Country. I should be false to truth should I fail in this hour, to tell you that you will be called upon for service, sacrifice, and suffering. Knowing the care with which you have been taught the sacred principles of our Democracy, I am sure that you will labor to the utmost that the Nation which has educated you and nurtured you will survive in honor and glory. It is my prayer that you will remember ever your pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. More than upon any other class, America in its hour of crisis, depends upon the bravery of its youth. You cannot fail in Nobility, Integrity, and Loyalty.
